Why should you get to know not_dead_yet?

Kind, Gentle, Amusing, Passionate and Interesting …so why am I single? Well, honesty, trust, loyalty and openness are my bywords.

Eclectic: I enjoy, amongst other things, walks in the country taking in a pub, The Globe, nights at the comedy club, coaching Rugby, The Tate Modern; but only because I don’t understand it, The National Portrait Gallery and cooking a deux for that certain special someone. Is it you? Yes if you, like to laugh, have a glass or two of wine and want to make your interests mine and vice versa.

I like to keep fit because I think it is important to one's friends and partner to respect one's body and look after yourself. I like both kinds of music, …and when running, my Ipod is likely to resound to Joni Mitchell, Shania, ColdPlay, The Dixie Chicks as well as Zeppelin, Mozart, Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan. I recognise I need help.

I have travelled reasonably extensively and have lived in Hong Kong, Germany, Canada and all over the UK. I currently live in London during the week, and travel, usually to Shropshire, at the weekends unless I have a reason to stay or go somewhere else. Are you that reason? I hope so. I have 3 children; 21, 20 and 16. . The eldest works in London, my daughter is at Uni and lives with me during the holidays, and the youngest (16) is at school.

Life is short, ‘Carpe Diem’, the worst that can happen is that we exchange emails and make new friends.

To be honest, I find this difficult as it is easy to offend, but there is also the danger of putting off someone who would be a great date. I would say have a go, contact me, you have nothing to lose. I know there is someone out there looking for a loyal, amusing, gentle man (Oh dear, it makes me sound like a Labrador,) don't forget the passion !

If asked, your sense of humour is more important than your looks, but that means you have to laugh at my jokes. You are intelligent or you would not be here. You are a loyal, single lady with an ability to enjoy most things and a capacity for life and exploring different things. You have opinions about art and literature and enjoy visiting the theatre and galleries, hopefully sharing your knowledge and open to mature discussion.

However, you are also a fascinating enigma: you like fun evenings at the theatre, parties, and meals out with friends. Yet you really long for those shared companionship moments over dinner, discussing your day, the news, or heaven-forbid, the weather. You love to watch me as I struggle with the cooking offering advice as necessary and aim to be curled up with a book, the TV and a glass or two at home.
